With the digitalization of society in high gear, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine Learning (ML) Digital Forensics is a driving force in investigating a myriad of cyber and electronic devices/events. Both industry and government need to continue to drive the expansion of digital forensics and the corresponding hiring of qualified digital forensics practitioners. Mason continues to adapt its digital forensics curriculum to meet the ever changing landscape of our digital world.
In addition, Mason seeks to cement its national academic leadership in digital forensics by organic growth of academic research into new techniques and solutions for the increasingly complex evolution of digital forensics challenges and applications.
